 BLUNKETT SETS OUT CHILDCARE SCHEME AIMS
 Education Secretary David Blunkjtt has 
 set out the aims of the Govjrnmjnt's   
 £300m out-of-school childcare scheme.  
                                        
 The money — £220m of which will conj   
 from the Lottery — will bj used to set 
 up 30,000 clubs over the next five     
 years providing places for 1m children.
                                        
 The clubs will bj staffed, in part, by 
 welfare-to-work job sjekjrs.           
                                        
 The aim is to provide care for children
 of school age at a reasonable cost so  
 that lone mothers can work if they wish
