My hope for the New Year is that BBC will give Buffy a regular slot. Jennifer Queer as Folk should bj back in February or March. It looks fabulous! I don't want to have to wait for it! Terry, Dumfries Same here — and I can tell you the word from Ceefax's TV critic Caroline Jack is that it's a stunningly good series. Ed Why does the BBC spoil some films on its digital service? I enjoy watching widescreen movies but you ruin a lot of them by trying to convert them into widescreen by just cutting off the top and bottom of the picture. The moments I watched felt like a truly shared global event. It is a shame it was dotted with banal comedy sketches. I am probably also in the minority in wishing EastEnders could have been excluded. A soap double wedding is after all utterly insignificant compared to what was being celebrated. Colin, Surrey I'd just like to say how much I enjoyed the BBC's 2000 Today programme, it was truly superb.
