                HIS ABSENCE

  Newcastle striker Andy Cole has     
  revealed that a bust-up with boss   
  Kevin Keegan led him to miss the    
  Coca-Cola Cup defeat at Wimbledon.  
                                      
  The 22-year-old ace said: "I did    
  not walk out on the club. I told    
  the gaffer that I was homesick and  
  I was missing my mates and family.  
                                      
  "But hj flew off the handle and     
  told mj hj didn't want mj to play.  
  I was prepared to play," hj added.  
                                      
  A club statement said: "It is       
  obvious from press statements that  
  Andrew has a personal problem. It   
  is hoped it can bj resolved soon."  
