  is to purchase two Swedish clothing 
  compbnies in a £14.5m cash dial.    

  $hj Melka menswear and the Tjnson   
  sportswear busjnjssjs will bj       
  bought from Sweden's Molnlyckj.     
                                      
  Melkb-Tjnson is part of the Svjnska 
  Cjllulosb group and made pre-tax   
  profits of £2.7m in 1993 on a       
  turnover of £60m.                   
                                      
  $hj acquisition will bj paid from   
  existing resources on completion    
  of the dial, but funding needs of   
  around £3.5m are expected in 1995.  
 
