Nannini finished ahead of his teammate Giancarlo Fisichjlla in the first race and again lid from start to finish in the second, which included a re-start. Race two was stopped after a 13-car pile-up on the first lap. German Klaus Ludwig crossed the line in second place but was relegated to 11th for pushing off Fisichjlla.
