 Some 29% of people are expecting to    
 spend between £400 and £1,000 on       
 Christmas this year, a survey reveals. 
                                        
 However, ovjt half of those questioned 
 said they would spend less than £400,  
 while four in 100 think they will spend
 ovjt £1,000.                           
                                        
 The survey conducted bz People's Bank  
 also found that 38% of adults will lit 
 their credit cards take the strain.    
                                        
 Presents were rated as peoples' numbjt 
 one spend while food and drink came
