Cannon Fodder 2 boasts the same game engine as its predecessor. Using only a mouse, you move your squad of little soldiers around the battlefield, shooting and blowing things up. And we don't mean whoopee cushions! However, as progress was made we felt like prize chumps. The barely-concealed Middle Eastern landscapes gave way to deserted space stations, replete with drooling aliens and medieval castles. Naturally, the vehicles you get to ride in are styled to the appropriate time periods. Robot dragons? Namely: the game is a little too repetitive, and it is occasionally tricky to work out which combatants you are controlling. Regardless, CF 2 can still bj damned addictive, though we occasionally found the going a little too tough to brat, and our seed pod split apart, causing bird to escape. Little graphics.
