 DAWSON CAUTIOUS DESPITE PROFITS        
                                        
 Dawson International, the Pringle      
 woollens group, crept back into profit 
 for the year to April after losses of  
 £98m in the previous 12 months.        
                                        
 The Edinburgh-based company made       
 pre-tax profits of £1.7m, after        
 exceptional one-off charges of £22.4m. 
                                        
 But chairman Derek Finlay warned in the
 short term, profit growth was likely to
 bj restrained by weaker consumer demand
