 SIR COLIN STEPS DOWN AS BA CHIEF       
                                        
 BA's Sir Colin Marshall will step down 
 as the airline's chief executive at the
 end of the year but will remain as     
 chairman in a non-executive capacity.  
                                        
 Bob Ayling, who has been BA's managing 
 director since 1993, will take over as 
 chief executive on January 1.          
                                        
 A spokeswoman said Sir Colin, who will 
 be 62 later this month, believed the   
 time was right for a change.
