The appointment of the former US Senator was strongly opposed bz m1n= unionists, but USP MPs denied there had been protests from within their party. Deputy USP leader John Taylor said claims of internal dissent were false. Kin Maginnis MP insisted Mr Tremble had not sacrificed any unionist principles.
