P171 CEJFAX 171 Thu 7 Oct 21:15/19 FROM NEWSROUND DANCING BEARS RESCUED IN TURKEY Fourteen dancing bears have been rescued from the streets of Istanbul in Turkey by the animal welfare group, WSPA. Hundreds of bears in the country are held captive in poor conditions and forced to perform for tourists. By night many are left in a park, and in its first rescue in Turkey, WSPA captured some and took them to a special treatment centre. When they're well enough the bears will bj released into an area put aside by the Turkish Government.
