  Liverpool's bid for Southampton     
  goalkjepjr Tim Flowers appears to   
  have foundered - leaving the way    
  clear for Blackburn to move in.     
                                      
  Saints manager Ian Branfoot said    
  Southampton had agreed a dial with  
  Liverpool, who had offered £1m cash 
  plus 'kjepjr David James.           
  
  Branfoot said the club had not      
  agreed anything with Blackburn but  
  Saints chairman Guy Askham said     
  negotiations with Liverpool and     
  Rovers had taken place.             
  
  Flowers' agent said the player had  
  decided not to join Liverpool.      
