 MEPC BUILDS UP PROFITS TO £60m         
                                        
 Property group MEPC built up taxable   
 profits to £60.4m in the six months to 
 March 31 from £47.6m before.           
                                        
 Chairman Lord Blakenham said the       
 improved performance resulted from a   
 £16.6m advance in net property income. 
                                        
 Lord Blakenham added that conditions in
 the UK market were still difficult but 
 the US and Australia had continued to  
 improve.
