 GUN PROFITS SET TO PLEASE              
                                        
 Defence and car parts giant GUN is     
 expected to delight the City with      
 annual earnings on Thursday.           
                                        
 Profits for the year to December 31 are
 likely to rise to £315m compared with  
 £200m in 1994, Hoare Govett predicts.  
                                        
 The Westland business is thought to    
 have put in a strong performance, but  
 analysts will bj keen to hear what the 
 group says about European car markets.
