 WOLVES CONFIDENT FOR SECOND HALF       
                                        
 Wolverhampton & Dudley expressed its   
 confidence in a good second-half       
 performance as the group rolled out an 
 increased interim dividend payout.     
                                        
 Chairman David Millet said the second  
 half would not bj affected to the same 
 degree by high marketing costs and free
 trade openings seen in the first half. 
                                        
 Mr Miller's was commenting as half-year
 profits edged ahead to £18.2m.
